OUR STORY

OUR BRAND

LAMOU was born out of a dream I shared with a dear friend from architecture school to bring good design to everyone. A few years back, we chose to part ways, prioritizing our friendship over business. I decided to continue LAMOU as a solo venture, which was a bit daunting at first, but also quite freeing.

So, why did I decide to keep LAMOU going? Because it's not just about owning a business and selling products. It's about bringing a pop of color, pattern, and joy into homes with timeless, heirloom pieces. I believe everyone should have access to good design and beauty without it having to be a luxury.

MEET THE DESIGNER

My name is Ann Clark.  Aesthetics and beauty have always been an important part of my life.  It started at a young age when I critiqued the shape of the Christmas trees that Santa brought me when I was five. It's also why, as an architect in Chicago, I dedicated myself to making beautiful spaces for my clients, community, and family.

Now in New England and the Greater Boston area, while still practicing architecture, I also design home decor items and furnishings which make these environments personal and joyful.

LAMOU is my platform for sharing affordable, beautiful, and sustainably made functional art that brings joy into people's lives. For me, there's nothing more rewarding than that!
